Peer Review Reflection - Blog Post Drafts

I got some good suggestions on my blog posts that I will take into consideration. One of my suggestions was to get more variation in sentence structure. This is a good idea because I don’t want every sentence to be set up the same way, and I want to add more interest to my sentences. I also need to work on my transitions between paragraphs, so that I provide a smoother flow from paragraph to paragraph.

There was one comment that I don’t think I will use in my revisions. It was to use photos in my blog posts. My posts are on the more academic side of the majority of the blogs, but I like that it is more professional. I feel that adding photos will make my posts seem more “fun”, but I am not really writing about a fun topic.

Overall, I got some helpful comments on my posts that I think will make them better.

Photo Essay - Happiness

Even in such a diverse world, many people share the same goal: happiness. Happiness is defined by Oxford Dictionary as “the state of being happy”. Since this definition is vague, it allows each individual to create their own definition of happiness based on their personal experiences. Throughout my life, happiness has always been a reachable goal that I set for myself in any new situation. My happiness is a constant in an ever changing world. To me, happiness is a combination of many things: the love and familiarity of my family, seemingly insignificant things like the shining sun that make each day better, and the freedom to make my own choices. My photos are arranged in the order in which I recognized the happiness each aspect of my life has given to me. From a young age, I have appreciated my family and the love they have for me. A few years ago, I recognized my love for the outdoors and the sunshine, and the energy and fulfillment it gives me. Only recently, as a new adult, am I grateful for the freedom to make my own decisions and to live my life in a way that makes me happy.
